Class suit filed against Ulta over repackaged products

A class action lawsuit was filed in Cook County Circuit Court last week against Ulta Beauty Inc. over claims that the cosmetics company often repackages and reseals beauty products that were previously purchased, used and returned by customers. The complaint alleges violations of the state’s Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act, Uniform Deceptive Trade Practices Act and Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, among others.
