Four Megabus Passengers File Lawsuit Over Crash

The attorney who filed a lawsuit against Megabus over an October crash has filed a second suit on behalf of a passenger in a crash near Seymour.

The suit, filed on Christmas Eve by attorney Thomas A. Zimmerman, Jr., claims negligence, saying the bus driver was driving too fast for road conditions on December 20.

The crash happened when the bus slid off the road and overturned on I-65 in Jackson County between Seymour and Columbus.

Several passengers were injured, and traffic in northbound lanes of I-65 was stalled for hours.
In October, 18 people were hurt when a Megabus flipped on I-65 in Greenwood.

Four passengers from that crash, also represented by Zimmerman,filed a lawsuit alleging the Megabus driver’s view may have been obstructed.

The crashes spawned a Call 6 investigation into safety records for the bus company.
